Who We Are Genoah Design is a merger of the personalities and styles of designers Jorge Noa and Pedro Balmaseda. Noa, who graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of Santiago de Cuba, completed his studies at the graphic Arts and Design Institute of Havana, where he graduted in Interior Design. There he met Pedro Balmaseda, who also graduated from said institute. Identifying creatively with one another, their partnership was born. For their interior decoration proposal for the "Melia Hotels" projects, Noa and Balmaseda were promoted to work with the "Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales," an institution wich brings together the best examples of the different forms of expression of Cuban art on the island. Later, their oustanding scenery and set designs for theater, television and film led to their working for one of the foremost TV networks in Latin America, Venevision, where they carried out ambitious projects for events such as "Mrs. Venezuela," as well as for soap operas and other comedy and variety shows offered by the network. Next came Genoah Design, which focuses on residential and commercial design. The work of designers Jorge Noa and Pedro Balmaseda with renown Venezuelan artist Campos Viscardi, and their work on the Vázquez D'Palma residence were published in the architecture and design magazines "Casas más Lindas de America" and "Estilo". Recently, they were invited to participate in a project of Venezuelan companies in South Florida, and it was then that they finally established themselves in Miami. Their mastery of different trends is the cornerstone of their success. Combining elegance and beauty with functionality, Noa and Balmaseda impart a very personal style to the different ambiances they create-each one, unmistakeably, Genoah Design. |
